Impact report for the Somaha Foundation: Focus on AsyLex Global
The Somaha Foundation works to support people in need, create an open and diverse society, and protect nature from exploitation. The foundation promotes initiatives with structural impact that enable long-term change, in Switzerland and abroad.
At the end of each funding partnership, the foundation shares results in a Somaha impact report that celebrates its partners’ efforts and showcases outcomes.
The 2024 report focuses on the AsyLex Global project of the AsyLex association, funded by the Somaha Foundation with a total of CHF 300,000 between 2022 and 2025. The project aims to make international human rights mechanisms available to refugees.
We built the report around an in-depth interview with Joëlle Spahni, Head of AsyLex Global.
"Refugees around the world need more than protection – they need justice. International human rights mechanisms are often the last hope when national systems fail."
- Joëlle Spahni, Head of AsyLex Global
Our task: Making impact visible
The agency Die Schwedin handled the conception, editing and design of the 2024 Impact Report. The challenge was to present a complex topic clearly and accessibly, while conveying the foundation's approach, which focuses on long-term impact.
Our solution: Clarity and vibrancy through storytelling
We developed an editorial and visual concept that combines journalistic precision with a discreet layout:
- Storytelling and interviews illustrate the impact of the supported projects.
- Facts, figures and contextual boxes for orientation.
- A clear and reassuring tone that builds trust and reflects the foundation’s language.
The result is an impact report that makes the structural depth of the project visible – and at the same time creates an emotional connection to the work of AsyLex Global.
